Tannico

Acquired in December 2022 by the joint venture between Campari Group and Moët Hennessy (part of the LVMH Group), Tannico is the leading player in the Italian wine digital ecosystem. The goal of the acquisition is to elevate the brand to the top of the European high-end wines and spirits online market. Active since 2013 in Italy and since 2021 in France following the acquisition of VALAP—one of the country's leading e-commerce merchants for premium wine and spirits—the two companies operate in 23 countries.

In 2021, they fulfilled more than 600,000 orders and delivered 4.5 million bottles worldwide, closing the year with a turnover of more than €76 million, up 105% over the previous year.

Brand Revamp

The project's ambition was to modernize Tannico's brand identity, enhancing recognition through a striking and impactful visual style while preserving its reputation as Europe’s leading and most authoritative online wine platform. The development of a new brand tagline was pivotal, effectively communicating Tannico's commitment and passion for offering the best wine selection to all wine enthusiasts across every touchpoint.

The brand symbol, a historic icon of Tannico's visual identity, has been refreshed, gaining greater solidity and modernity. It has been optimized for various applications, ensuring enhanced recognizability and readability on mobile devices. New brand rules and guidelines have been crafted to provide a dynamic design system, where the icon and logotype achieving a harmonious balance within an entirely new design and layout framework. To complete the rebranding process, a new color palette has been introduced to modernize the brand, while a new typeface pairing ensures Tannico's identity is instantly recognizable across all media.
